Liz Farrar-Moyles
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
MSc Rehabilitation (Neurology)
PGCert Non-Medical Prescribing
Hello, I’m Liz Farrar-Moyles. I qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of Bradford in 1999. I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
I started my career working for the NHS across West Yorkshire. During this time, I worked in both hospital and community-based settings. I eventually specialised in community rehabilitation, working with adults of all ages with a primary focus on neuro physiotherapy and rehabilitation and persistent pain management.
In 2008 I gained my Masters Degree in Neuro Rehabilitation from Leeds Beckett University. Shortly after this I accepted an exciting role leading a Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team in Greenwich, London.
While working in Greenwich I led a clinic for people with complex neurological or persistent pain presentations that had not been helped by conventional medical management or physiotherapy. In this clinic I refined my expertise in the Biopsychosocial approach to managing long term health conditions.
In 2016, I gained my prescribing qualification with a focus on the management of pain and spasticity.
After 10 years in London, I made the decision to move back to my Northern roots in 2018 and continue to provide specialist community-based rehabilitation.
